You elicit from Emma and her parents that she feels nauseous and light headed at the beginning of each episode then her legs feel weak. Her mum supports her to sit down and she quickly recovers. Her vision goes a bit blurry but again quickly recovers. They usually occur in the bathroom and once after standing for a long time in assembly.
On the most recent occasion she leaned on a friend for support and quickly recovered when taken outside by a teacher to sit down. She looks quite pale during the episodes but is aware of her surroundings and can talk to people. She does not drink much fluid – about 500ml a day.
