The Case

Meet Mr Brown

Mr Brown is an 80 year old gentleman who presents to eye casualty with sudden painless blurred vision in his left eye.


He has hypertension, previous myocardial infarction in 2010 and has osteoarthritis of his knees and spine.


He takes ramipril, bisoprolol, aspirin, atorvastatin and cocodamol and has no drug allergies.


He has a family history of ischaemic heart disease and is a smoker (60 pack year history).
