He informs you of a really good website called infoKID which he uses to explain the tests to parents.
Parents will often use the internet to research symptoms, conditions, investigations and treatments. It can be very useful to have a selection of resources that provide useful, accurate and well written information that you can point parents (and young people) towards.

Why not ask the in the radiology department about when these tests take place and whether you can observe them.
Learning about the practicalities of these investigations, especially ones that involve catheterisation, can be a useful learning experience.
