The Case

Further Assessment

On further assessment you find out that Harry is a previously fit and well boy, although had a cold and sore throat around 10 days ago. He has no significant family history or birth history and is on no regular medications with no known allergies.


His observations are as follows:

HR:   130bpm

RR:    28 breaths per minute

Sats: 100% in air

Afebrile


Urine dipstick: Protein 3+, blood 2+, leucocytes trace, no nitrites.


Weight 17kg. Height 90cm.


He is referred to the Paediatric assessment unit and his blood pressure is taken. It is 128/60.
